Heather is the sole practitioner for East Devon Physiotherapy Ltd. She graduated from Cardiff school of physiotherapy in 1979.
After working in Exeter for one year, she travelled to Denmark and held positions of physiotherapist and locum superintendent physiotherapist at Kalundborg Sugehus before returning to Devon in 1981.
On returning to England, she worked in the Princess Elisabeth Orthopedic hospital, followed by senior posts at Sidmouth Hospital.
In 1985 Heather began developing private practice based at her home alongside NHS work with specific interest in rehabilitation of the elderly musculoskeletal medicine and injuries in sport. She was also physiotherapist to the local football team and locum physiotherapist to Exeter City Football Club.
In 1991 she gained membership to the Society of Orthopedic Medicine. In 1996 she achieved membership of the Acupuncture Association of Chartered Physiotherapists and in 2000 Heather finally resigned from the NHS (she continued to hold a post of two hours a week since 1989 taking anti and postnatal classes and caring for women with pregnant pelvises) and moved her practice into the present premises having planned and overseen appropriate renovations to the premises.
In 2008 Heather completed an examination in order to become a qualified class instructor of Modified Pilates.
In 2009 Heather undertook a year-long course commitment, and passed an examination to become a Certified Mulligan Practitioner (CMP).
